A felicitation ceremony for meritious students of Khongjom and villages of Khongjom Circles (Langthel, Phundrei, Sibanagar, Samaram, Chingtham, Sapangsalai, Papal, Langthavan khunou, Waram etc) was organised by Khongjom Youth Development Association in association with 15 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) on 06 Jun 2012. Approximately 30 students were awarded for obtaining good result in higher secondary examination 2012. Approximately 200 students of various Schools attended the ceremony. While Speaking on the occasion Shri Brojen Singh, MLA of Wangjing Tentha constituency informed the students regarding their various perk and privileges as a career and a better life in Army and Assam Rifles.
