Troops of 42 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) launched operation in general area Bongyang and apprehended one drug peddler from a Maruti Van Bearing registration No ML-01K-8577 moving from Imphal to Moreh on 23 May 12. The drugs peddler was identified as Mr Jamkhogin Touthang, 23yrs, s/o Mr Houkhotan Touthang, r/o Moreh Ward No 1,Moreh Chandel Dist (Manipur). 2.8 kgs of Opium was recovered from the apprehendee. The apprehendee alongwith recovered items handed over to Narcotic control Bureau, Imphal.
