Discovering the transportation of wild life product, troops of 42 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) launched operation at Bongyang and apprehended one smugglers from a Marruti Van, bearing Regd No.DL-3C-AW0652 traveling from Senapati to Moreh on 16 May 2012. The apprehendee was identified as MR Gugun Haokip, 23 yrs, s/o Mr JamthangHaokip, r/o Senapati, Four Kg of Pangolin shell was recovered from the apprehendee who alongwith recovery handed over to Wild life Dept imphal.
