Pulse Polio immunisation programme was organised by 36 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) in the village of Samtal Salient in coordination with Health Dept of State, Govt of Manipur. A total No of 38 children of village Sehlon, Phoilen, Changjal, Tuitong, Gumnom and Kovang were vaccinated.The entire programme was carried out and executed under the supervision of the Medical staff of the unit headed by the Assam Rifles Medical Officer. The local populace genuinely appreciated the effort and the mothers especially thanked the battalion for safe guarding the health of their children.
