Based on receipt of information of transportation of banned forest products in Pangal Basti of Chandel district, troops of 9 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) launched operation in area and apprehended one individual alongwith 313 kgs of banned Red Sander wood on 18 Apr 12.The apprehendee was identified as Md Abdul Hakim,s/o Md Abdulla,r/o Pangal Basti,Ward No.3 Moreh. The apprehendee along with recovery was handed over to Forest Head Office, Imphal.
