Discovering the transportation of illegal drugs, troops of 31 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) launched operation in general area Khudengthabi and apprehended a drug peddler alongwith drugs and banned wildlife products on 04 Oct 11. The apprehendee was identified as Zothasang,25 yrs,s/o Late Hemson,r/o Chamol,Tegnoupal.2,46,000 Nos(75 kgs) of Mucoson tablets,21 kgs of Pangolin shells and 01x Mobile phone have been recovered from the apprehendee. Later, the Unit launched operation in general area Khondong,Leirambi temple of Chandel district and apprehended one another drugs peddlers on 04 Oct 11. The apprehendee was identified as Lunkholet,30 yrs,s/o Late Letpao,r/o New Lamka, Churachandpur. 01x bottle (approximate 15 gms) Heroin No.4,01xMobile phone and Indian currency Rs.750/- were recovered from the apprehendee. The apprehendees alongwith recoveries were handed over to Narcotic Control Bureau and Wild Life Department, Imphal.
